Wood Shop Worker-Installer

Job Description:

  • Operate shop equipment: Panel Saw, Automatic Edge Bander, Line Boring Machine
  • Other misc. shop duties as needed
  • Installation assistance when needed
  • Paid training in shop work and installations

CNC MACHINE OPERATOR:

Salary: $22 – $26 an hour

Job Type: Full-time

We’re Long Island’s premier designer and manufacturer of custom closets and built-ins, and we’re hiring a smart, driven person who is looking for an exciting career opportunity with great pay and other benefits.

We are looking for an energetic CNC Operator to join our team.  Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed.  Must be able to read and understand CNC programs, layouts and design drawings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set-up tooling and operate CNC machine
  • Must be able to perform maintenance of CNC machine
  • Lubricate, checks and regular cleaning of equipment and tooling
  • Clean work area and perform other misc. shop duties
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • High School degree or GED Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years CNC Operator experience
  • Conventional shop work experience a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to edit programs and follow instructions
  • Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Take pride in your work

Closet Installers/Cabinet Installers. Immediate Hire:

Are you an experienced closet or cabinet installer who enjoys steady work, a new challenge, And the joy of a happy customer every day? Do you want to be part of our exceptional team?

We are a great company to work for and we want to meet you. We expect you to have a keen eye for detail, great at hanging cabinet doors, level drawers, meticulous with hardware, trim and crown. We work every day throughout Long Island and the metro area.

Benefits: Great pay, paid vacation and room to grow.
$18-$30 per hour to start based upon experience

Duties and Responsibilities include:
(Other duties may be assigned)

  1. Arrive at job location and prepares site for installation.
  2. Install closets/custom built ins for residential customers.
  3. Work with power tools to measure, cut and to install built ins.
  4. Repair, install, and troubleshoot in accordance with company guidelines.
  5. Communicate with customers and office as needed.
  6. Observe work in progress and follow all safety procedures including the wearing of personal safety equipment.
  7. Clean up waste and leave customer’s site in same or better condition than when job was started.
  8. Collect customer balance at the end of job.
  9. Must be prepared to follow COVID-19 prevention rules and regulations. Along with the guidelines set by our company.

High school diploma or GED preferred; one year experience as an custom closet installer or in similar field (i.e. kitchen cabinet installation), and/or at least one year of training.

Cabinet Installer Helper (Holbrook):

Compensation: Compensation is based upon experience

Employment type: Full-time.

This is a Cabinet Installer Helper position for busy closet company. We are looking for someone with custom closet installation experience – at least a year experience is helpful. You will work as a two-person installation team at residential customer locations. Company specific training will be provided. Days are Monday through Friday. We work throughout Long Island and the metro area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
