What to expect when working with Symmetry Closets®

Your satisfaction is guaranteed: if you have any concerns at any point during your project please call our main office at 631-608-8999 and we will get right back to you.

Our work process is described below. Expect to receive communications from our Closet Designer, Project Coordinator, and Installer throughout the Process.

Design 1. Design The Design Process Begins with a Consultation.

The Designer will set up the first Zoom Video call or in-home meeting.

When we first meet, by phone, by Zoom or in person, we will ask you questions about the purpose of each of the closets or other spaces, and what you will need to store. We will determine measurements, discuss your personal style, and begin getting to know you and your family’s preferences. This will be the foundation of your Closet Designer’s initial Design Plan for your home storage. All our Designs are fully custom: designed just for you with your family’s needs in mind.

Drafts 2. Drafts Details Matter with a Custom Design.

Review Design Plans and Quote.
We’re ready to review your 3D Renderings, Design Plans and Quote together. We just sent you a Secure link via email to review the details. Yes, we let you know from the beginning how we price our work.

Your Closet Designer will review your Design Plan and suggest Colors, Door Styles and Accessories. We expect some fine-tuning and customization until your storage solution works and all the details from your wish list are included.

Approval 3. Approval So Happy You Love the Plans for Your New Storage!

The next step is for you to eSign our Proposal and finalize your design. Our eSign platform is Pandadoc please look for this email.

If we haven’t already, we will need to come to your home and take exact measurements—all COVID-19 precautions are taken.

Once you approve a design:
We will send you a link to eSign our Proposal and process the  deposit payment to begin the next phase.

We will discuss any details that need to be coordinated if your home is being remodeled—usually about location of electrical, timing of floor installation, painting, and your move-in date goal. Of course, we are licensed and insured—just let us know if your building needs insurance documentation for your project.

Fabrication 4. Fabrication Measure Twice, Cut Once.

We build your dream storage solution in your chosen color and style and to the exact size of your space.

Our Fabrication Team will build your storage units. And now we order any Special-Order items—like Custom Doors and Drawers, and specialized hardware and accessories in the finish you choose.

The lead time can vary, and we need to get the orders in to meet your timeline. Once custom items are ordered, they cannot be returned.

Once your Special-Orders  are manufactured and shipped, we will reach out to you to schedule your installation.

Installation 5. Installation The Dream is Close when we can Schedule your Installation.

The Special-Order items are due to arrive in our Fabrication Shop shortly. You will receive a call from your installation team to confirm a date for your new storage!

Installation Day:
Please be prepared for us to arrive early in the morning—and to be in your home most of the day or for several days (depending on the size of the project).

  • Your Project Coordinator owns this phase and is your primary contact.
  • A photo of your Installer will be sent as well and his/her contact information.
  • When your installation is completed, we will process payment for the balance of your project, utilizing the account information previously provided for the deposit. For larger projects, we will have a more detailed payment schedule.
  • A photo of your closet will be taken so all teams members can verify that we met your expectations.

We love to post on Social—without identifying the location—so that everyone can dream about transforming their own closets too!
